The Christmas Truce took place in December, of 1914. in the morning the allies herd singing from the german side so the commanders tell the allies to sing better but in the end both side start laughing. Then some germans began walking in dead mans land but they did not shoot. The other "sides" gifted each other with tobacco and cigarettes. The Central Powers were supposedly nicer during the Christmas Truce. In 1915, a year after the war started, the Germans wanted a Christmas Truce 2.0 but then the British got mad at for all the casulties at that thought and started shooting (so much for being nice). Adolf Hitler was strangely in World War I, and he didn't like this whole idea of peace which explans a lot . Sadly not all of the trench where nice some areas where fighting mostly countries like France who where taken over.
